Rail-line or Riverine
With a surprise I perceived it is stronger than telepathyâit is, in fact, a telekinesis.
Recent topsy-turvy made me puzzled to think alike a rail-line or riverbanks.
I was overwhelmedâis it riverine or a rail line?
Â
Either, it appeared just like a rail-line speedily passing through the midst of city-life, human crowd, hill-tracts, industrialised forests and by the lonely landscape,
Or, a river that is cool, calm and gently flowing through human habitation, simple and ordinary life instinctively holding a lovely and beloved nature, culture and artistic skill in the landscape of huge paddy-field, yellow-burst mustard field, pasturage, grazing herd, shadow of banyan tree, shepherds, swamps, marsh paddy, bitterns and dark-plumage cormorants in its banks enlarged to the nearest downing sky included boats and boatmen with bhatiali songs in it.
Â
Riverbanks are face to face like the rail lines even if the rail lines can never touch their breadth and depth.
Â
Notwithstanding the highness of our thoughtful harmony overflows the bank of a river too while you told me a story just what I wanted to tell you.
Northern Window
Â
Ordinary words in the soul of gently vibrating prose
Build a poetic hut with the green fire of subjectivity,
If progressive city looks back to a Harappa’s moon
I will sure unbar my window for the northern reality.
Â
Full of my perplexed yard with western grasses
No access to naming in my sensible dictionary,
Find only symbolic moon in the dark night pine
That has not any light for aesthetic missionary.
Â
Cleared a watermark in that full scape portraitÂ
Appeared a shadow or sound somehow albeit.
Â
Bearing a wordy asceticism in that projectÂ
Of symbolic drama, while true senses find
Insightfully visible a real lively melodrama.
Â
I explore a progressive opera in the
Upcoming Postmodern age, asÂ
Myth tells a tale alike a lady
Of betel faced in theÂ
Moon barrage.
