Suna Hezer:

Born in Hatay’s İskenderun district in 1956, Suna Hezer completed his primary, secondary and high school education here. He became interested in music in his childhood. He started writing free verse poems during his secondary school years. In 1997, he published his poetry book called “Giteme Mecbur Olma”. After a while, he started writing free verse. He realized his idea of becoming a writer.

The poems he wrote as a result of his years of work attracted attention and were composed by many valuable composers in the field of Turkish Classical Music. His first poem, “Sende Kalan Gönlüme Kaş Çatma Incinirim”, was composed by Mustafa Coşkun in the Kürdilihicazkar mode and was the first to enter the TRT repertoire with the number 23494. This work was performed by Mr. Zeki Topçuoğlu, one of the artists of TRT Ankara Radio.

 In addition, his joint work in the Nihâvent maqam called “Yollarima Karanfiller Güller Döksen Ne Fayda”, one of the poems composed by the valuable composer Ahmet Sedat Mete Bey, became his second work in the TRT repertoire with 24666 numbers.

 Suna Hezer worked in different units in the municipality of Iskenderun. He retired from his job as a wedding official in 1997, at the age of 39. After his retirement, he went into business and opened a textile shop in Mersin. He also continues to work on handcrafted knitting. She has two sons.

 Suna Hezer, who is devoted to music, still continues to write song lyrics.
