Tired of the miracle called life,

 There will come a day when the soul becomes sadder than the body,

POET’S CURRICULUM VITAE

 CV OF POET AND AUTHOR YAHYA AZEROĞLU

Yahya Azeroğlu, who was born in 1955 in Yukarı Topraklı village of Iğdır Ayrılık District, completed his primary and secondary education in Iğdır. He went to Germany after the national strike. He took foreign language lessons here for 2 years. While residing in various countries in Europe, he wrote various articles and poems in newspapers and magazines published in Turkish in Europe. Returning to Turkey in 1983, Azeroğlu came to his hometown Iğdır and settled here. Continuing his cultural activities, Azeroğlu continued to write poems and articles. After completing his unfinished high school education, he entered the Department of Public Administration at Eskişehir Anadolu University. He could not complete his faculty education due to reasons beyond his control.

He founded the Iğdır Poets and Writers Association in 1994 in order to bring together poets and writers in Iğdır. He served as the President of the Poets and Writers Association for 15 years. Azeroğlu, who is a member of the Professional Association of Scientific and Literary Works of Turkey, has published six books, including “CHIRPINIŞ”, “SILENT SCREAMS”, “Take an example from ATATURK”, “TAKE IT UNDER THE FLAG”, THE EPIC VILLAGE IN THE AARAS VALLEY, “CYPRIAN WRITER HASAN ÇAKMAK”. He describes his connections with Europe. Many articles and poems that Yahya Azeroğlu sent from Iğdır were frequently published in Turkish newspapers and magazines in Europe. He was invited to many conferences held in Europe. His poems received first prizes in many poetry competitions he participated in. His poems were published in numerous Poetry Anthology books. One of his achievements is It became the subject of news in the famous BILD newspaper published in Germany.

                 Many works of Yahya Azeroğlu, a poet and researcher writer, met with the readers in local newspapers published in Iğdır, and Yahya Azeroğlu was awarded the poet of the year award in Antalya in 2020. In 2021, a research book called “Cypriot writer Prof. Hasan Çakmak” was published, in addition to these, Azerbaijani Prof. Dr. Ramiz Hesemli, who is a scientist, wrote a book called “Turan Yolcusu” about the poet and writer Yahya Azeroğlu. Yahya Azeroğlu received the title of (F) professor by the Azerbaijan Science and Education Center. He currently resides in Antalya.
