A small sacred country
With open chests,
Walking around…
Oh people, people,
Where, when, why?
I’m lying down… December on tiptoes,
Snow turns into little snowballs…
People in a circle, amongst them Christ and smoke.
Yesterday’s roosters lie on the ashes of dreams,
Look – it’s our fleeting genes,
And we, and the shadow… running through the world.
Peaceful people in peace,
A peaceful cat on a peaceful dance floor,
And there, far away, Grishny lies propped up on paper…
There the sun doesn’t scorch, there the moon doesn’t stay silent.
There Grodni, the envoy of the dead, is valued.
And people spin in the rye –
Yesterday’s watchful moments
Alle sind stumm
Geh,
Oder beraube mich nicht
Des Lebens…
Für einfache Noten
Des glücklichen Seins…
Er wurde zum Regen,
Denn am Himmel verrotten sie nicht…
Er weinte am Fenster,
Riss sich an Freunden entlang
Mit dem Licht bei mir.
An seiner Stelle
In the light, he emerged like a tsar
He began calling gently for Paradise.
I have brought upon myself a new sorrow.
Why doesn’t the prayer reach the Tablets?
I have created new spaces,
With new footsteps in Hostomel…
Where screams distorted the veil,
Where white turned black on the window…
Everyone is silent…
To me, it’s nothing. What about you?
To me, to no one, for no reason,
From nowhere – just the Far.
Only took up smashing
The light…
Poppy flowers – the wind of mountain blossoms.
Talk to me. Speak,
Because you can only speak…
But he wanted, still,
To live.
In that distant world,
Where we still exist…
